Aptera, which closed in 2011, has suddenly announced itself by introducing a new product – a three-wheeled “solar” electric car that does not need recharging. According to the company’s representatives, the new model, equipped with a 100 kW⋅h battery, is capable of travelling 1600 km.
The presented electric vehicle is designed to carry a driver, a passenger and a pet. Its energy is supplied by solar panels on the roof, which provide a daily mileage of up to 75 kilometres.
According to Aptera co-founder Chris Anthony, the integrated battery provides constant recharging of the battery, which in turn guarantees up to 17,700 kilometres of mileage over the course of a year.
